Van de graph

Today we played with the van de graff generator, what it basicially did was remove the negative electrolytes and it became neutral becausee the van de graph was positive and the "ball" was negative, but when you touch the ven de graf and it is positive and sonis another object, they both repel from each other.

Something that would be really cool to do on the van de graf is if a soda can , can shock agiasnt the generator, why because they arent both negative one is positive and the other is negative,or the other thing that we can probably donis to hold a beach ball on one hand and see if it will float just like with the ballon experiment we did in class the other day

What is a conductor? 

Materials that electrons to move freely

Today i came in contact with a conductor. It is water, it moves freely once it leaves the tap, it doesnt just stay still, it moves around until it hits the bottom of the sink. When it flows out its atoms move in different directions it doesnt just move in one place the other drops go in different directions.

Another moment that inrealized i came into an insulator was when i looked at the floor. The hard wood floor is and insulator it doesnt move, it stays still the only moment that the hardwood would move is when you would remove and apply another one.
