Phase change
A phase change that i saw happen outside of class would be how i got a water bottle out of the fridge .. The water after a gpod five minutes began fogging up, then began to sweat called condensation.. This phase change shows how much the heat effects the bottle ... When it was surrounded by cold it didnt change because the molecules surrounding it were even colder than the water, but when it left the molecules were hotter than the bottle causing it to condense and become warmer throughout time

Too hot or too cold
Three things that heat up at different times are water , metal , plastic
Water: the heat once applied it instantly changes temperature becuase it is not dense its substance is very easy to go rhrough which makes it easier to warm up
Metal: it takes longer than water because of how thick it is.. The metal takes eouble thime while water heating up instantly
Plastic: it is not dense but it melts faster than the metal..
So the time rates of what goes heAting faster would be water then plastic and lastly metal

Doppler radar
"A doppler radar is a specialized radar that uses the doppler effect to produce velocity data about objects at a distance. It does this by bouncing a microwave signal off a desired target and analyzing how the object's motion has altered the frequency of the returned signal"
Waves show alotnof things mainly the speed and the current it is at,waves are used to show weather if the radar senses a wind gust they antenae will recieve a message saying there is an object which could be dust particles, ice crystals etc..if the object they came in contact with, the sound waves would be reflected back at an incresed frequency

Interference
Construtive inteference is when two or more waves go together and they combine a whole wave, a deconstructive wave is when two waves meet and they and both crests line up together.
Deconstructive: when two cars get into a car crash... They both line up they do not end up on a v shape.. They crash in a vertical line. Which means two forces going together leading into one "line"
Constructive: when two ocean waves go together and they crash making another huge wave showing it is constupructive wave,

Standing Waves
Today in class we were using slinks, we used the slinkys to measure the frequency of the waves.
I learned that the more force you exorted to the slinky, the further thw wave would be from you and the wave would come back stronger than it had began..also that the wave length and frequency are alike because the lentgh is created by the amount of frequent moves you are going tonbe able to make

No effect
Something i think that should effect something would be going on a swing while on a sunny day.. You would think that while going back and forward with all your body power that the wind would set you off but it wouldn't because the wind is a weaker force compared to what is pushing the swing, i thought it would effect the swings speed or motion but it doesn't

Simple harmonic motion
What is simple harmonic motion? It is a weight hung so that it swings freely back and forth
Three good examples of simple harmoic motion is a swing , a washer on a string and lastly a spring
Swing: it goes back and forth freely when the person moves their legs back and forth the potential energy the person puts in is what makes it move freely back and forth
A washer on a strong: the washer applies weight on the string , the string gets its speed from when you let go of the washer.. It moves side to side without stopping.
Spring: the spring has weight in it already it moves up and down , when it is getting pulled downward its the energy that it will have to go back up and back down, which means its a harmoic motion
